Post Cyber Monday

If you don't know Cyber Monday is the online version of Black Friday. And Black friday is a the day after thanksgiving in USA where there are tons of sales & "deals".

This year I was pretty underwhelmed when I woke up Monday morning.

First of all, the sales that I found on the sites I usually frequent ( Forever 21, Nastygal, Urban Outfitters, PacSun, Asos) weren't that appealing to me. I mean theres always some sort of coupon online you can find or an email I get from the website that will give me a discount..
SECOND, I didn't see too much that I liked.

SO I took it as a sign that it was not time for me to spend all my money in one day.. Instead I was thinking well I will just save up for a great holiday & NYE outfit.

Anyways I did get end up getting a few things.
Ok so when I spend my money I like to think smart. I live in Southern California and its pretty much warmer than cold here so I don't go crazy in the winter buying nice sweaters and such. I just don't think its worth it. Instead I like to buy things that I can wear with anything, any time of the year, to work, or on my days off. Thats just how I think when I spend on clothes. I like to try and be smart about my purchases.

I was thinking oh I'm going to be finding a lot and I could do a haul or something, but no. I did not. So when I say I got a few things, I mean it. I shopped two sites and thats all. I mean looking through all my favorite sites I was just not finding anything that was jumping out of my computer screen saying "HEY YOU NEED ME ON YOUR BODY", and it was disappointing since I was ready to spend and save doing it. And I found things I liked but not enough to buy and I didn't want to waste my money and just spend to spend.

So here are the few things I did get. I might do a show and tell thing who knows.
BUT I am happy  the things that I did get I was happy with the savings I had made.

I got one thing from NastyGal
I had been eyeing this top for a while & on Cyber Monday it's the first thing I went to see.
I was glad to see it hadn't sold out because a lot of the time things on NG ALWAYS sell quickly.
And this is something I can wear all year any time. I was thinking I can wear it with a high waisted skirt or shorts like pictured also could wear it with my fav high waisted jeans. And I have tons of leather jackets I can throw over as well as sweaters.

It was originally $32 and with the 30% off it came down to $22. Not an amazing deal like I said, but hey its a $10 saving and I'll take that.

From Forever 21 I got

This skirt was love at first site. I originally saw a black gray and white ombre skirt at NastyGal and it sold out! After I found this and I had a feeling that if I waited it would go on sale & if it didn't it would be a sign the skirt and I were not meant to be.
Once upon a time I believe it was about $17 and then it was on sale for $11 and change
with the 50% off of sale items I paid $5.99

I saw this skirt for the first time yesterday. I was really interested by the style. I like really weird or different skirts they're just so cool to me. This came in gray and black AND I really wanted the black because black is my color but unfortunately you couldn't see the cool draping and layers in the black so I went with gray. And this item scared me a little I have a feeling its one of those items you know that isn't going to look as nice in person but we'll just have to wait and see!
I paid $4.99 for this with the 50% off of clearance sale

On top of the clearance sale F21 was having flash deals on a whole bunch of items. This sweater was one of them. I love black and white and when I saw that the stripes were a metallic blend I got really excited. I also read in the reviews its more slouchy and long then pictured and that got me more excited. I plan on wearing this sweater with a pair of metallic blend nylons that match the stripes perfectly and maybe add some moto boots and knee high socks with it.
I paid $8.00 for the sweater.

Last but not least, leopard jeans. I used to wear leopard all the damn time & it was like my favorite color. I must have got tired of wearing it because lately I have been missing leopard. I saw these when they were $22 or maybe $24 I'm not sure and I thought eeeh do I want these and I decided I'd wait to try them on in person and I never got around to doing it. SO when I saw that these were still around I was just like oh goodness just give them to me. And I wear so much black and white I could wear these babies with anything.
I paid $7.99 for the leopard jeans with the extra 50%

So all in all I didn't get much but I'm glad I didn't get things that I didn't need or really want instead. Im excited to get these in the mail to see what they really look like!
Should I do a video or review on the items once they get here?

Cali fall part two

So it is November and if you live in California you know for a freakin fact our fall weather here is weird! And yeah we don't get to fully take advantage of dressing fallish like. You could go ahead and force it and wear a scarf or coat like some do but it is just too hot still.

One thing I do like to do is take advantage of wearing my favorite colors which are black and white which technically are not eve colors right? Any ways I usually try to match in some sort of color when I wear black or white or both and this kimono does the trick usually.

I love this kimono! It was an investment, know what I'm $ayin'?! BUT It goes with everything. And when I am inve$ting in a piece of clothing I take into consideration many a thangz.. Like, can I wear this year round? How many things of mine can I wear this with? What colors can I match with this?
And basically I found an answer to all those questions so I splurged a little and bought it for myself for my birthday.

The brand of the kimono is See You Monday, I bought it on the Karmaloop website
My crop tee is from Forever 21
My pants are vintage spandex leggings that my rock n roller father used to own in his hair metal days
Shoes are from Charlotte Russe I think? I could not remember ha ha.
AND my high 5 to my best friend Michelle for taking these pictures of me.
If you'd like to watch a mini OOTD video I have one on my Youtube channel.

Comment if you're from So. California. What the heck are you wearing these days?

Comeback Story

Many of us have our own demons. I know I do, and I have kept them hidden. I am a very private person, and I try my best to be independent and strong. Drama overwhelms me and I regret coming off as over dramatic. Expressing myself is never easy and its rare. Luckily, I  do have someone I can talk to but the burden of the harsh and honest truth about my demons and someone knowing them terrifies me and the whole truth is never told.

All my life I have had many insecurities of so many sorts. I focus so hard and try my best to make sure that the people that I care for in my life never have this issue because I want the best for them. But it's been a struggle when I am hypocritically preaching any type of positivity etc. when even though I want the best for someone else I have no right when I can hardly say I do so for myself.

Being open in any form about my insecurities is not easy and in no way am I even sure if posting this on my blog is ok with myself. But I'm trying to change and this is my blog. This is something I am doing for me and I understand it and that is what is important to me. Posting this while continuing to leave this posted will be a test for myself.
It is ok to practice strength by admitting weakness.

No one knows what the future holds but I am in control. I am young but I'm getting older and I want to do so much in this world but there are things I need to do so I can move on to better things.
I want to make a difference in the world, create, and help people.
I am thankful that in everything I am someone who sees what could be and accepts the challenge of change.

I have no idea if anyone reads my blog but if you read this and you are feeling alone in the challenges you face, if you let it it's going to be ok.
I believe that our lives are like gold. Every moment we live is a fleck, a glittering little piece of life that shines in this great big universe. We are all important.
No matter what happens we have each other and we have our dreams.

PARAMORE DIY

Paramore has been one of my favorite bands for years. The feeling I get hearing them and seeing them is unexplainable.
And of course the one and only Still Into You video that has a trillion million views now is my new favorite video of theirs.

I love everything about this video and how it makes me feel. But lets talk about whats going on with Hayley.

I LOVE IT ALL.
the Unif moto jacket, the top shop tee, the pink leather skirt, and oh the leggings!

The first time I ever saw the video I said I would make those leggings. Where and when I would wear them wasn't even a question. A Paramore concert duh!
So I did just that. I got quite a bit of compliments and people asking me how I made them. I was surprised really because the TUTORIAL I saw first was really popular. But when making my own I had taken some other things into consideration and wanted to change a few things. So I made them my way and I made a video for it.

California in the fall

California in the fall can be an awkward thing. At this time of year it's still warm, the nights are just starting to get cool, and dressing in this weird weather can be tricky.
I was at the beach with my best friends and the weather was perfect. I love when the sun is out and its warm but cool at the same time. That day was perfect. We took some pictures and I did a little outfit of the day or two while I was at it.

My favorite beach has always been Corona Del Mar. Its a great chill part of the beach and theres so much to do around.

Vicky

Michelle

Hung out at the beach for a while, took pictures, and played in the sand. After we were over the sun being in our faces we headed down the street to the mall. We had some lunch at Cheesecake Factory which was weird thanks to Vicky's un-lady- like manners. After we shopped around checked out stores we don't have at our mall and searched for macaroons. After successfully finding macaroons we headed home. I live for the days there is no need to rush and I can just relax and have fun and be weird with my best friends. AND I thank them for taking pictures of me. Love you guys.

Everything you see is mostly Forever 21 or thrifted. My fringed cardigan is by RVCA and my sneakers right there in front of your eye balls are Vans.

That's what I like

So fall is here! And although I live in California and its still pretty hot these days I'm thinking of all the sweaters, leggings, pants, jeans, scarves, and boots I want to welcome to my closet family of clothes!
Now, I do not abide by the rules of "what you're supposed to wear for this season's fashion" ever. I wear what I want when I want to. I might sound like a rebel but no, I just have different moods and these moods make me dress differently. Sometimes I'm inspired by country to dress western, Sex Is On Fire comes on and I want to dress like I'm going to a rock concert, or sometimes I just want to be effortlessly fashionable and tone it down and dress a little more simple. I feel most comfortable with an edgy look rather than a girly one but I do have my moments.

Currently, I am obsessed with kimonos. I have always wanted one but when I saw one on Shenae Grimes recently I just died and said I need one. I love the idea of kimonos personally because I typically wear black and white and a nice floral kimono will be nice when I feel like I want to add just a bit a color!

Another thing I am loving is black clothing with fringe! What better way to accessorize than wear an item that's got an attachment of fringy awesomeness?!

Acid wash & high rise jeans are something I like to wear when I want to be more casual. I love pairing a pair of high waisted pants with a sweater it's an easy but cute look that is so comfortable! I own these Bullhead Denim jeggings and they're the probably one of my favorite pairs of jeans. They go with everything and you can't beat comfort right?

The 1975

The 1975 are a band that is new to me. I discovered them a couple of weeks ago and just started to listen to them recently. There are so many bands out there and a lot of the time when I find a new band I end up only liking a couple songs of theirs and not a full album or what not and thats ok but this band I am really excited about because I have listened to several of their songs and liked more than a couple and I haven't found one I don't care for!

The first song I heard from them was 'You'. Its a very cool chill danceable song. I am in my car a lot, I technically commute to work and I work about 5 days a week so.. I am in my car a lot! And I just love music that just makes driving feel cool. I love when music and the mood of the song just goes with the time of day whether its a cool sunny feeling song you imagine on the beach or a cool dance or rock song that makes driving feel cool at night like there is  a soundtrack and you're the cool person you see cruising in a cool car in a music video or movie.

So as I have been liking their music I started to look up their live performances to experience what they are like live and I had found this great cover they made of One Direction's What Makes You Beautiful. I love One Direction like the next twelve year old, yes so I was excited to see what their cover was like. At first I couldn't even focus on the song because all I could hear was One Direction still but after getting a grip of things I could focus on the greatness of this cover. Of course if you do not like One Direction you may not like this song but it is a cool cover and they're a pretty cool band.

If you check this band out let me know what you think !

First

So for years and years I have procrastinated making a blogspot.
Years ago I did so by starting what I felt like was my "style" of blogging on Tumblr. So yeah, have one of those.. but now I'm thinking about actually starting to write an actual blog (actual blog equals the word blog in the domain name unlike Tumblr I guess).
I'm ridiculous.
Anyways for years I used to lurk youtube and certain blogs and by lurk I mean that for years for whatever reason I used to not create accounts for such sites, I would just create bookmarks instead and check them daily. And so recently I was just like why don't I just do this already?
Part of the procrastination was just feeling like I don't have the time but I'm realizing in life you never have time to do things you need to but making the time for things and doing them makes you feel accomplished and a little fulfilled. Normally people have these realizations and goals to start things as a New Year's resolution but I feel totally fine with starting these things now.

If you feel like this we could be friends.
Let's start things!

My name is Heaven, I warn you to only sometimes take me serious.
